What is continuous testing in DevOps?
Continuous testing in DevOps refers to automatically executing software tests at any stage of the project lifecycle and as part of the build and delivery pipeline. The goal is to provide feedback about software quality and issues to developers and testers as early and as fast as possible.
This usually involves running automated software tests as part of a continuous integration (CI) system. Often times, especially for projects where new functionality isn't covered by automated tests yet, software testers and QA teams employ additional testing methods to ensure full test coverage. This often involves exploratory testing as well as manual test case management in addition to automated testing.
To successfully and effectively implement continuous testing in software projects, teams use Testmo to continuously monitor, report and manage all software tests.
