We’re excited to announce the availability of a new report within the Testmo Reporting Center: the Team Testing Workload Report!
This new report is designed to help you report on your team’s workload based on assigned tests & sessions from selected milestones & runs. It enables you to:
Visualize the testing workload (i.e. tests and sessions) assigned to your teammates across all test runs, sessions, and milestones within a given project, including forecast time to complete the assigned testing activities
Balance effort across team members by drilling down into workload by user or user group, test run, or session
Export reports on team workload to share with stakeholders across the team or save for future reference
What is the Team Testing Workload Report?
The Team Testing Workload Report allows you to generate summary statistics and detailed breakdowns of all the testing activities carried out by your team members within a single project.
The report focuses on the workload of your team based on assigned tests (in test runs) and sessions, which can be linked to specific milestones and runs. It enables you to consolidate information from multiple sources into a set of high-level charts, lower-level statistics, and detailed user assignment breakdowns, providing a single view that can easily be digested by stakeholders across your team.

Key Capabilities of the Team Testing Workload Report
This report offers several key capabilities to give you deep insights into your team’s testing workload.
Comprehensive Scope Control: Easily select a single project and choose whether to include or exclude specific users or user groups, and apply milestone, run, and session filters to constrain the report’s scope.
Flexible Content Configuration: Tailor the report’s content to your needs by including or omitting various sections. You can display or hide:
Key metrics: High-level metrics for the configured scope, including the total number of users, tests, and sessions, along with average tests per user.
Workload chart: Visualise test and session workload for each tester, showing assigned tests and sessions, estimated time to complete, and forecasted time to complete.
User statistics table: Provides a detailed breakdown of each tester’s workload, including assigned tests and sessions, total estimated time, and forecast time.
User assignments: Offers a more detailed breakdown of workload for each tester, including runs with assigned tests and sessions assigned to the user.
Customisable Presentation: Control the report’s appearance by enabling or disabling elements like links back to Testmo and the report header and footer.
Easy Export and Sharing: Export the generated report to PDF for easy sharing with team members or stakeholders using your web browser’s built-in capabilities.
Example: Spreading Your Team’s Testing Workload Effectively
Testmo’s Team Testing Workload report makes it easy to identify who is working on what, on your team. For example, to understand how to distribute your team’s work more optimally (e.g., to meet a deadline):
Creating the report:
On the Team testing workload report page, select your project.
Apply a user filter if necessary, potentially including users without assignments to identify who has no work.
Select the relevant milestone.
Filter for active runs & sessions as needed.
Generate the report.
Select users or groups to include within your Team testing workload report.
The Workload chart helps visualise problems in the assignment of tests and sessions, showing which testers might be over-assigned and which have no work.
The User assignments card allows you to take a closer look and click through to relevant runs for reassignments, helping to develop a more balanced workload across your team.
The Workload chart helps visualise problems in the assignment of tests & sessions.
