We’re excited to introduce a set of Repository Folder View Improvements in Testmo, designed to make it easier than ever to navigate, organize, and manage your test cases.
These updates enhance visibility and usability within the Test Case Repository, helping teams quickly find what they need, maintain structure across complex test suites, and stay focused on testing rather than clicking through folders.
What’s New?
The repository folder view improvements are part of our ongoing effort to streamline the Testmo user experience and support large-scale projects with clearer hierarchy and navigation.
This release includes several new capabilities and UI enhancements that improve folder visibility, consistency, and control across your repository views.
Expand and Collapse All Folders
You can now expand or collapse all folders in a single action using the new double-arrow icon in the folder sidebar.
This makes it faster to review your repository structure or reset your view after exploring multiple folders.
Expand your entire project folder tree to get a full overview, then collapse everything with one click when you’re done.
Subfolder Visibility Controls
The main repository pane now includes a show/hide subfolders toggle, giving you full control over how nested content is displayed.
When enabled, you can see test cases and subfolders together in context; when hidden, only the selected folder’s contents are shown.
Subfolder visibility helps you navigate your repository folder structure more easily.
Breadcrumb Navigation
A new breadcrumb bar at the top of the repository makes it easy to see where you are and move between levels in your folder hierarchy.
Simply click a folder name in the breadcrumb path to jump directly to it.
Breadcrumbs provide a clear sense of orientation. Especially useful when working deep within nested structures.
Updated Add Folder Button & Icons
The Add Folder button has been redesigned with a cleaner icon and updated tooltip for better accessibility.
The button’s new position next to the expand/collapse control improves discoverability and provides a consistent layout across repository modes.

Why It Matters
As repositories grow, even small usability improvements can have a big impact.
These enhancements reduce friction for large teams managing hundreds or thousands of test cases, helping you stay organized and efficient without losing context.
Testmo’s mission is to make testing more productive and unified — combining test case management, exploratory testing, automation results, and reporting in a single platform.
The improved folder view is another step in that direction.
